Targeting neuronal chloride transport as a novel therapeutic strategy in temporal lobe epilepsy
Temporal lobe epilepsy is the most common form of human epilepsy with many patients resistant to current pharmaceutical treatments. Using a mouse model, we confirmed that deficits in neuronal chloride transport produce the symptoms and pathology of epilepsy, providing evidence for a possible novel drug target.
