Diet response prediction using epigenetic data
A number of diets have the potential to improve cardiovascular health, but it has not yet been possible to predict which diet will work best for a given individual. We are developing statistical models using epigenetic markers (those reflecting non-genetic influences on genetic expression) to predict long-term changes in cardiovascular risk factors in response to different diets, and thus enable personalized dietary recommendations for long-term cardiovascular health.
